Dosage Form Design for Low and Middle-Income Countries

There are many factors contributing to inadequate access to medicines in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). The problem is complex, but ultimately results in more than 2 billion people in LMICs having a lack of access to medicine. Furthermore, about 70% of cancer deaths occur in LMIC, yet LMICs have less than 5% share of the global resources for combating cancer. A truly dire situation requiring a multi-faceted approach to contribute to overcoming these challenges.
